When to come

A note on Miami's seasons.

Miami has two seasons, and they barely overlap. The dry season runs roughly November through April — clear skies, low humidity, the breeze off Biscayne Bay that the postcards promise. The wet season, May through October, trades the crowds for warm afternoon storms that pass in an hour and a hotel-rate calendar that quietly resets in your favor.

For most travelers the call is simple: come in the dry season if the trip is about the weather, the beach, and the social calendar. Come in the shoulder months — late April or early November — if you want the same city for noticeably less. Rates soften, the restaurants you couldn't get into are suddenly available, and the heat hasn't fully arrived.

The one thing we tell every guest: the calendar matters more than the month. A normal week in March is very different from Ultra week or the Miami Open. If your dates are flexible, ask us — we'll tell you honestly whether you're landing in a quiet stretch or the middle of the city's busiest weekend.
